The Meter Maid
As I sat outside enjoying one of my unnecessary cancer sticks, out of the corner appeared a man...a meter man. Upon further inspection I realized I was in the presence of a strong, butch, lesbian woman navigating the patriarchy of meter inspectors.....Ok so I thought she was a man because she was built like a tuber and had the same haircut as Zac Efron.....so sue me. She had at least 14 piercings in her ears and she wore a rugged ruddy face reminscent of Nick Nolte after one of his bad meth binges. She handed out justice, one ticket at a time. How does one join the metering profession? Are there any sort of clerical guidelines to join this field, and what kind of "policing" benfits do you enjoy? I guess I know of at least one career option post-graduation. In anycase, I imagine that metering does involve some strong policing skills, and I choose to honor this career today....even though I am pretty sure that they are hated with early the same ferocity as a dentist...and they don't even give you good drugs. Creed is back now...so I need to chat with him and the gravitron.
